7 Reasons to Write Letters in June

7 Reasons to Write Letters in June

Whether it's marking milestones, feast days, or just showing love, writing a heartfelt note can bring joy, encouragement, and even a deeper connection with our faith. Here are seven Catholic-inspired reasons to pick up a pen this month:

1. Graduations: Graduating can be an exciting yet scary time! Write an encouraging letter to the grad in your life as they discern their next steps.

2. Weddings: Bless the bride and groom before and after their wedding day with heartfelt letters as they prepare and enter into the glorious vocation of marriage!

3. My Hubby's Birthday (June 6): If you know Jeff, write him a letter about how much he means to you and a funny memory you both share! Don't know him but have a sec to pray? DM us the prayer you prayed so we can add to his spiritual bouquet!

4. Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (June 7): Meditate on Jesus' Sacred Heart. Then, write a letter to check in on a friend. Ask how they're doing, let them know you've been praying for them, and end with a note about the boundless love and mercy Jesus has for them.

5. Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (June 8): Meditate on Mary's heart + how she always leads us to her son. Write a sweet note of encouragement to a holy woman you admire that reminds you of Mama Mary or perhaps to a friend struggling to know Mama Mary. Share the fruits of your reflection on Mary's heart and Church Teaching, and encourage them to pray the Memorare for this intention.

6. Feast of St. Anthony (June 13): Know someone who's looking for something? Whether it's a physical item or Jesus Himself, pray for them and send a sweet note inviting them to Mass and brunch!

7. Father's Day (June 16): Write to dad, all the holy priests, and the holy father figures in your life. Describe the many ways in which you see God the Father's reflection in him.

A handwritten note can be a powerful tool of evangelization and love. This June, let’s take a moment to sit down, reflect, and share our hearts through letters.
